Cyberbullying has affected many people throughout my life and has had very negative ramifications for the people who committed the cyberbullying. I have had friends that have even considered taking their own lives from multiple harsh comments made about them. I see how cyberbullying affects those at a young age and taking the necessary steps to ending cyberbullying is essential.
Parents should become more involved with how their child is presenting themselves online. It would create a safe place for those who are victims of cyberbullying to finally have a place they can trust to go on. If not parental supervision, ANY type of supervision should be applied to those at such a young age. This will prevent any negative comments to be made by having someone constantly monitoring this behavior.
If someone were to be caught cyberbullying, the negative ramifications they face should not only be applied in their household, but at their school as well. The child must have a constant reminder for why cyberbullying is wrong and how it affects those that are victims of cyberbullying.
